We have been teaching Modern Jive at Burgess Hill for the past 6 years and continuously grow with members of all levels. If you join us for your first night then rest assured of a warm welcome and friendly smile, and remember, everyone had to learn at some time so we know how daunting it can be to walk into a venue

Absolute Beginner Classes

8.00pm - 8.45pm Lesson

Our ABC Class (Absolute Beginners Class) is tailored for anyone that has never danced before, even those with 2 left feet. Just like learning the alphabet we will take you step-by-step through the simple basics of Modern Jive, teaching you lead & follow and building your confidence to link moves together and freestyle dance

Social Freestyle/Practice

8.45pm - 9.00pm

Repeat Beginners (Foyer)
Progressive Intermediates (Main Hall)

9.00pm - 9.45pm Lesson

So now you know the basics and can hold your own on the freestyle floor let's get you onto the next level and extend your moves. Wendy & Kane will take your dancing to a new level, incorporating simple footwork, styling and adding flair to your individual style. We regularly introduce guest teachers to Burgess Hill to encourage you further and to entertain

Social Freestyle/Practice

9.45pm - 11.00pm

Social Dancing for everyone of all levels - this is a time to practice your moves, meet new friends and build yourself a whole new social life whilst keeping fit and healthy

For Every Freestyle and major Event there is always
a considerable amount of time spent setting up the
hall and more importantly packing everything away
at the end of the night and keeping us sane ...

I have to admit it was the scariest thing I have done in ages and way out of my comfort zone but mid-way through the evening I got into it and had fun. I am really looking forward to next week.
